Privacy Policy

Last updated September 8, 2026. The short version: we collect what you send us and what your browser sends every website, we use it to reply to you and to improve the site, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.

Who we are

Q6 Media, LLC (“Q6 Media”, “we”, “us”) is a podcast and video production studio at 803 West Ave, Austin, TX 78701. This policy explains what we collect when you use q6.media and the forms and booking pages we host at links.q6.media, how we use it, and the choices you have. Questions go to jake@q6.media.

What we collect

What you give us. When you fill out the strategy call form, email us, or call, we receive what you send: usually your name, email address, phone number, company, and what you tell us about your show, brand, or project. If you become a client, we also hold the project, contract, and billing details needed to do the work.

What your browser sends. Like most websites, our servers and analytics tools record your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you, your approximate location, and the date and time of each visit. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Cookies below).

What embedded services collect. Parts of this site are delivered by other companies, and they may set their own cookies or collect their own data when you load a page: Vimeo video players, Google Fonts, the HighLevel form and booking embeds, Cloudflare Turnstile and Google reCAPTCHA (which protect the forms from bots), and the Google, Automattic, and Hotjar analytics tools described below. Their privacy policies govern what they do with that data.

How we use it

  • To reply to your inquiry, schedule and hold a strategy call, and send you a proposal.
  • To deliver our services and manage the relationship if you become a client, including invoicing.
  • To follow up about your inquiry by email, and by phone or text message if you gave us a number. Reply STOP to any text to opt out.
  • To understand how the site is used and make it better, using aggregate analytics and anonymized session recordings.
  • To keep the site secure, block spam and abuse, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the companies that help us run the site and the business, and only for that purpose:

  • HighLevel (LeadConnector), which hosts our forms and booking pages, stores our contact records, and sends our follow-up emails and texts. It also hosts this website.
  • Google, for Google Workspace email, Google Analytics, Google Fonts, and reCAPTCHA.
  • Automattic, for WordPress.com Stats (Jetpack).
  • Hotjar, for heatmaps and anonymized session recordings that show how visitors use the site. Hotjar masks what you type into forms.
  • Cloudflare, which sits in front of the site for performance and security, and Wordfence, which logs IP addresses to block attacks.
  • Vimeo, which serves the videos on the site.
  • For clients: our accounting and payment providers, so we can invoice you and keep our books.

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or safety, or as part of a sale or merger of the business, in which case this policy would still apply to the information transferred.

Cookies and analytics

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. We use them for analytics (Google Analytics and WordPress.com Stats), for Hotjar heatmaps and recordings, to remember your form and booking session, and for bot protection on the forms. We do not run advertising cookies or retargeting pixels on this site.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; the site still works without them, though the forms rely on bot protection that may need cookies enabled. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser add-on and out of Hotjar at hotjar.com/policies/do-not-track. We do not currently respond to browser Do Not Track signals.

How long we keep it

We keep inquiry and contact records for as long as we are talking with you or working together, and for a reasonable period afterward so we can pick up where we left off. Client contract and billing records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require. Analytics data is kept according to each provider’s retention settings. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below), and we will unless we need it to complete work you asked for or to meet a legal obligation.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it for follow-ups. Email jake@q6.media from the address you used with us, or call (256) 270-3038. We will confirm your identity and respond within 30 days. Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link, and replying STOP ends text messages.

We are based in Texas and process information in the United States. If you visit from outside the U.S., including the EU or UK, your information is transferred to and handled in the U.S. under this policy. Residents of states with privacy laws that give additional rights, including California and Texas, can exercise them through the same email address; we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.

Children

This site is for businesses and adult creators. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

We protect the site and our records with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, a web application firewall, and vendors that meet current security standards. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security, but we take it seriously.

Links to other sites

The site links to social platforms, client shows, and other websites we do not control. Their privacy practices are their own; check their policies before sharing information with them.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top. Meaningful changes to how we use your information will be called out on this page.
